Lakehead Aeromodellers are committed to promoting and encouraging the pursuit of model aviation in Thunder Bay and District

All types of aviation related modeling, be it fixed wing airplanes or helicopters are readily accepted by the Lakehead Aeromodellers, at both our indoor and outdoor flying venues.

Lakehead Aeromodellers provides guidance and training to prospective and current members. The cub holds monthly meetings from September to May and hands on flight training at the field every Tuesday and Thursday from May to September. During the winter months, indoor, rubber and electric powered aircraft are flown Monday nights at Bishop Gallagher School, with regularly scheduled dates at the Sports Dome. New members are encouraged to come to a meeting, training night to a club event to fund out more information. Happy Flying!

Indoor Flying at Ecole Gron Morgan Gym

Every Tuesday - 6:30 PM to 9:00 PM

Come join the Lakehead Aeromodelers for indoor flying at the Ecole Gron Morgan School Gym. All indoor size planes and helicopters permitted. Use the rear gym entrance from Rockwood Ave. Spectators welcome!

Members Field Opening BBQ

Sunday, June 2 - 11:00 AM - Weather Permitting

Members and their families are welcome to join us at the flying field for the annual field opening BBQ. Flying starts at 11:00 AM and the BBQ will be started at noon.  Please ensure your MAAC membership is up to date.
